Thirst-Quenching Drink Recipes for BBQ Season

Summer is nearly here, and it’s time to start planning delicious drink ideas for all your upcoming parties and barbeques. Skip the calories and keep the flavor with some calorie-free, gluten-free, sodium-free and caffeine-free drink recipes.

Cascade Ice has so many delicious flavours and variations to suit everyone at your next get together! My kids absolutely love to mix them, share them and create their own unique recipes using each flavour. The fact that they are a healthy alternative is perfect for parents looking to cut back on sugary drinks this year.

One of my favourite Cascade Ice creations is simply to add my favourite flavour to some fruity shaved ice and some vodka. You can always create non alcoholic versions for others but a nice shot of vodka and fruit is a great way to spend my afternoon after a long day working with kids.

  • Melon Mixer
    • Time to buy that delicious watermelon you’ve been dreaming about all winter! Start with 3oz of Cascade Ice Blueberry Watermelon. Then pour 1oz of club soda. Add several slices of watermelon and blueberries and stir to release the fresh flavor. Voila!

  • Pomegranate Icer
    • Pomegranates pack a punch of vitamins and anti-oxidants and now that they are in season, it’s a gr eat time for this refreshing drink. First pour 4oz of Cascade Ice Pomegranate Berry and 1oz of Cascade Ice Strawberry Lemonade into a glass with crushed ice. Top if off with fresh pomegranate seeds for the perfect touch and serve!

  • Coco-Lemonade
    • A BBQ isn’t complete without some ice-cold lemonade! Try the Coco-Lemonade for a new twist. Start with a chilled glass full of ice and add 3oz of Cascade Ice Coconut and 4oz of Cascade Ice Lemonade. Garnish with sliced lemons and a sugar rim.

    • I would love to create a bunch of unique recipes this summer to share with all my friends and family. To see how we relax and unwind follow us on Instagram & Pinterest!
