DIY Tree Drums!

Kids love drums there is no denying that. Parents hate when there kids play drums in the house, another undeniable fact. Well I hate to deprive my kids because they give me the worst migraine I ever had. There had to be a way to give them drums and me peace and quiet. Here is my solution:

Tin Can Tree Drums

All you need is some empty tin cans and you have yourself some drums. I had some left over pallets kicking around my backyard so I stood them up against a tree and then attached the cans using some screws. The kids painted there drums before I put them on as added decor but they did't stay painted for long because I didn't have acrylic paint but if you want to get decorative you can use acrylic or even spray paint and go crazy.
I used another little can I had as the drum stick holder and they fill it with an assortment of sticks. I think I am going to add different sizes and types of containers to make different sounds I think a wind chime and some ice cream buckets with make a wonderful sound.

Hi all! I'm Tiffany from This Motherhood is Brought to You by Xanax and I am so excited to be a part of the Guest Post Swap and to be Amanda's swap partner! I love love love her idea on how to make indoor snowballs with egg cartons. I am definitely going to have to try that with my kiddos since my smallest one has decided that it has to snow for Christmas. Poor baby doesn't know snow is hard to come by in Alabama :( For my guest post I wanted to share a little DIY with you guys that involves duct tape! A few months ago my daughter's little chair that goes with her table she sits at every day tore and she made it worse by pulling all of the stuffing out of the seat! What started out as a quick fix turned into a great idea. She loved her seat so much that she has now decided that her table has look cool too so being the smarty pants that she is, she tore her table!
