B.C. Teacher's Strike

Today in B.C. we are looking back at last years happy start to the school year in envy as we wait with our fingers crossed for schools to open. This teachers strike is proving to be long and unfair for everyone involved and I'm sure everyone has done their homework and found out all the details regarding the strike if not here is a little cheat sheet for you.

Oh and this $40 a day thing is pointless to help parents pay for daycare, tutoring, and private school because nobody will even receive it until 30 days after the strike ends!! That's helpful.

So what are we going to do about this... I say it's time to homeschool to fill the gap. Parent's need to do everything they can to ensure their child is not going to miss out on a proper education. Here are some great resources to get you started.

Load up on some fun arts and crafts stuff and check the dollar stores for work books and such. Don't forget to go on some fun and educational field trips like museums, fire halls, libraries, pumpkin patches and more!
