Which Online Retailers Have the Best Return Policy?

As most people who shop online often probably know, companies that offer fair and flexible return policies are the best ones to buy from! You can save tons of money by purchasing from companies that pay for returns or will let you return for extended periods of time if you're not satisfied with the product.

However, it can be difficult to know which companies offer the best return policies without doing extensive research. That's why this graphic that compares the return policies of top online retailers from Red Stag Fulfillment is so handy!

They researched retailers with the most online revenue and then inspected their returns policies by factors like return time window, the ease of their returns process, refund time and whether or not they offer free returns. You can see the whole thing below.

Keep this handy next time you're shopping online to know which companies to buy from and which to avoid. Enjoy!

Keep Your Pets Safe During A Move

Keeping your pets safe during a move is incredibly important! The changes and commotion that come with a move can send signals of distress to your furry friends. However, there are certain things you can do before, during and after a move to help ease their fears and keep them safe.

The moving experts at HireAHelper came up with this handy graphic that details the best ways to keep your pet safe during a move. If you do things like prioritizing time with your pets before a move, gradually get them used to the boxes and keep them confined during the actual move they will feel more at ease and be kept safe.

After the move, it's best to spend a few days around the house, keeping your pet company and assuring them that there is nothing to fear in the new house. Keep their bowls, bed and accessories the same (at least for the first month) so that they are surrounded by familiar objects and smells.

If you stick to these tips, you should have no problem settling into your new home with your fur baby!

How to Give a Great Wedding Gift On a Budget

Wedding season is just around the corner. And if you're on a budget, you may be wondering how you're going to afford all of the shower and wedding gifts you're going to have to buy. Seeing as how fewer than one in four Americans have enough money saved up to cover even six months of expenses if necessary, finding the money to spare on wedding gifts can sometimes be very difficult. Fortunately, there are ways to not spend your entire savings account on wedding presents this year.

First off, it's important to know that you are not required to buy gifts off of the couple's registry. Oftentimes, registries can be full of expensive items that you may not come even close to being able to afford -- and that's okay. Registries should be viewed as a suggestion, not a requirement. So feel free to buy something that isn't on the couple's registry. However, it can be helpful to use the registry as a guideline and figure out what kind of items the couple is looking for. By getting less expensive items the complement some of the items that have been purchased from the registry, you'll be getting the couple something they can still use.

If you do decide to not purchase something from the registry, personalized gifts are always a good option. Not only can you get items for fairly reasonable prices, but it will show the couple that you really put a lot of thought into their gift. In fact, research provided by Rutgers University shows that gifts people pick to convey special messages say a lot about them as a person. So if you take the time to personalize a gift for the couple, they'll know you put a lot of thought into it.

When it comes to choosing which items to personalize, kitchenware and home goods are a great choice. Whether it's a serving tray with their last name on it, wedding-themed mugs and dishware, or decorations for their home, the couple will love having items to use that were personalized just for them.

Another great idea for putting together a gift on a tight budget is themed baskets. Putting together a few similar items to go with a theme can be an easy way to come up with an inexpensive, but useful gift. For example, you can put together some basic baking supplies, brownie mix, and some oven mitts to create a dessert-themed basket. The couple will enjoy making the brownies together and, of course, eating them together too.

While buying wedding gifts can be stressful, it's important to remember that you aren't required to spend a certain amount of money on a gift. No matter what you put together, the couple will appreciate the gesture and be glad you were able to celebrate their special day with them.

3 Tips To Remodeling Your Home

Everyone has a different reason for wanting to remodel their home. Some may have grown tired of their current setup and want to do a little bit of sprucing up. Others may want to remodel to give their property a higher price value in case they sell their house in the future. Or, some people simply want to remodel their home for personal satisfaction. Whatever your reasons are, you are going to need some help and resources in order to achieve your perfect design and functionality as well as do it without breaking the bank. It would help big time if you know how to remodel your home the smart way possible.

Here are three tips for remodeling your home.

1. Focus on what you and your family need in a home.

When it comes to remodeling your home, it can get pretty tempting to go way beyond what you really need for your home. While it is totally up to you to make a big change, work on what needed to be done first. For instance, if your home needs to have better windows, change your windows first. If your home needs more insulation, work on making your home's insulation better first. Things, like upgrading your furnace or fixing your pipes, should come first on your list so that you will not have these problems again. It is better to work first on what your family needs so that you will not have to sacrifice the comfort your home provides. Once it is done, you can go ahead with further designing and remodeling of your home.

2. Give importance to the structure and fix the flaws.

Structural flaws in homes can greatly impact the all over the functionality of your home. If your home currently has a structural problem, fix it first and from there, go for a design that will improve the overall structure. An architect or an interior designer will be able to help you on this one but if you want to check out some guides by yourself first, there remodeling guides on housetipster that you can check or follow once you are ready to revamp your home. By giving importance to the structure, you must also avoid getting tempted to add too many upgrades to your house that can potentially become too extravagant especially if you live in a modest neighborhood. It can limit your ability to sell it on the market in later years if you decide to do so. Do not go way overboard on remodeling your home if you have plans on selling it in the future.

3. Don't spend too much money on home improvement if you are selling your house in the future.

Even if you don't have plans, for now, make sure to stick to your budget and not spend too much money on improvements. The goal is to give it a higher value later on if you sell it. And if you want to get the most bang for your buck, then keep the home improvement and remodeling as inexpensive as possible.

Do You Really Want To Spend More On Your Home Than You Have To?

When it comes to money, we all have our own priorities. Nobody likes to spend money on things that they don’t really want, and it’s safe to say that bills will always come into that classification. However, they’re non-negotiable. Because when it comes to your home, you’ll always have bills. The good news is, that they don’t have to be incredibly costly if you don’t want them to be. If you know that you’re spending more than you want to be on things like your bills or just your general household expenses altogether, then it’s time to make a change. And even if you’re relatively frugal already, you can still make a difference by following the below five points.

1. DIY

First of all, you’re going to want to get a little bit better at doing DIY. And let’s face it, the main reason why most of us don’t want to do it is that we’re lazy. Even if you think you just can’t do it, or that you’re not handy or creative enough, the bottom line is that you can’t always be bothered just to give it a go. And in the process, you’ll waste a lot of money on handymen and professional labor. So, this year, say to yourself that you’re going to give DIY a shot. When you actually pick up a paintbrush or a hammer, you do realize that it’s never really as difficult as you thought it was going to be, and you can do it!

2. Compare Prices

Next, you’re going to want to make sure that you’re always comparing prices. And this is important. Because costs will always change and you could find that you’re paying more for everything than you need to be. From your plumbing prices to the cost of your cable TV service, always shop around. And don’t be afraid to call your supplier and ask for a better deal. This is often a great way to save money.

3. Make A Compromise

At the same time, if you do want to spend out on certain things around the home, then try to cut back on others. Maybe you just don’t want to DIY, so why not reduce your monthly bills or cut some out so that the costs balance themselves out? We can all make compromises to make sure we keep our costs down.

4. Find Cheaper Alternatives

And there’s always an alternative. When you’ve seen something incredibly expensive, you don’t have to have it. If you’re smart and you shop around, you’ll often find a cheaper alternative or replica elsewhere. This can often be a good method to help you save loads on expensive or antique furniture.

5. Use Discounts

Lastly, always make sure that you look out for discounts. These days, you can get discounts on anything. You just have to know the tactics and remember to take your time as you shop. Because why pay full-price or over the odds for anything when you can save money and get a better deal?

Find the Right Window Treatments and Save Energy and Money

Windows are wonderful for letting natural light and fresh air into our homes, but they are also one of the main culprits for energy losses. Approximately a third of a home heating energy is lost through windows in colder months, whereas in summer when we’re trying to stay as cool as possible, sunlight enters our home and warms us up. Because we don’t want to spend a fortune paying bills, we’ve prepared a list of things you can do to save energy and money with the right window treatments.

Blackout shades

You might think that blackout shades are here to help you protect your privacy from prying eyes, but they do a lot more. They will also control the amount of light that enters the room as well as the temperature. While natural light has many benefits, there are also times when you want the room to be a bit darker. When you’re trying to sleep a bit longer in the morning, or when you’re looking for the right treatments for your nursery. Parents who have toddlers know that children like getting up with the sun, and they should choose blackout shades seeing as these are able to block out most of the visible light which enters a room so that children will sleep a bit longer.

 Insulated cellular shades

If you’re looking for something that will help you control the temperature in the room, especially during the heating season, insulated cellular shades are just the thing you need. They are very long and made of a pleated material which contains air layers. These air pockets are aligned like honeycombs and act as insulators, and the shades themselves designed to fold up like an accordion. Because they cover your windows they will give you privacy, but they will also help you save a lot of money on energy bills all year long.

Awnings

Awnings are roof-like shelters which you can install outside, and they will successfully block the light as well as the heat of the sun. They can shade a part of your porch or your windows, and they can be fixed or retractable, depending on what you need. Because retractable roof awning will prevent sunlight from even touching the window glass, they are more effective at reducing heat than curtains, drapes, or blinds. When looking for awnings for your home, always choose the ones made of quality materials such as reinforced aluminium because these will last very long and will be easy to clean. If you don’t want to climb the ladder in order to set the awnings, opt for fully automatic ones as they are far easier to use.

 Curtains and drapes

The only difference between curtains and drapes is their length: while curtains are sized to fit the window perfectly, drapes reach all the way to the floor. People usually pick both drapes and curtains based on their colour and design, in hopes to find something that will fit the design of the room, but you should pay attention to fabric and color if you’re hoping for the best results. During winter you will want to open draperies and let in as much sun as possible, but you should still keep them drawn during the night to prevent heat loss. In summer you should keep them closed to prevent unwanted heat from entering your home. The best draperies are medium-coloured and have white-plastic backings.

Blinds

While blinds are widely used and appreciated, they do a better job keeping the light out and reducing summer heat than preventing heat loss in winter. Since there are many openings between the slats, it’s not really possible to be in control of the heat, as it will inevitably be lost between them. On the other hand, those same slats offer great flexibility during sunny summer months, and you can adjust the slates so that you have better control over light. Because they can be completely closed and lowered, and considering that they’re made of highly reflective materials, blinds can reduce heat gain much better than shades do.
A great number of window treatments are here to help you save energy and money, but there are a lot of factors you should keep in mind. From the climate and the season to the type of attachment and the way it’s used, there are different possibilities and you can expect different results. Try doing a bit of research in advance so you know what to expect and to find out the best ways to save money on window treatments as well as energy bills.

NITRO CIRCUS LAUNCHES HIGH-ADRENALINE NEXT LEVEL TOUR

Spectacular New Outdoor Show Makes World Debut Down Under --
Coming to North American Stadiums this Summer

With the all-new Next Level Tour, Nitro Circus promised an epic event filled with game-changing feats and unbelievable stunts, and its world-debut Saturday at Canberra, Australia’s GIO Stadium more than delivered the goods. Thanks to a massive production, featuring the biggest ramps ever to hit the road, this cast of all-star action sports athletes and thrill-seeking daredevils blew away the crowd with new tricks, new vehicles and more in an electrifying show that is simply too big to fit indoors.

Nitro Circus’ moto athletes proved they are all in by sending huge, gravity-defying tricks that definitely took the sport to new heights. USA’s Gregg Duffy, the first person ever to land a double front flip on a motorbike, stomped two incredible front flip variations for the GIO Stadium fans. The Canberra crowd also went wild for hometown favorite Harry Bink after he landed an FMX double backflip. For this very dangerous trick, one attempted by only a handful of riders, Bink shot more than 60-feet into the air to get the clearance needed to complete the two full rotations around before touching down on the lander. For video and photo highlights of all the action go here

All of these aerial exploits were possible due to the Next Level Tour’s innovative ramp setup. The FMX takeoff ramp alone towers 15-feet above the show floor (five feet taller than anything toured before) while the lander also looms large, standing 23-feet high. First dreamed up at Travis’ “Pastranaland” compound then perfected at Nitro World Games, these ramps were never supposed to tour, as they were considered far too large and complex to be set up more than once. But Nitro Circus’ production team was determined to showcase them, and the future of action sports, to its diehard fans around the world.

“Getting the chance to debut this show in my hometown was so awesome. For my family and friends to see what the boys can do on this sick setup made it even more special,” Harry Bink said after Next Level’s high-octane kickoff. “Video clips or pictures can’t prepare you for just how big these ramps are.”

After travelling across Australia through April, Nitro Circus presents: the Next Level Tour will arrive in North America in May. 5 Tips to Prepping Your Home to List For Sale

There are many homes available for sale in today’s real estate market. With this in mind, it makes sense that it would be easy for a potential buyer to overlook your home listing. The sheer number of options available make it possible for home buyers to ignore houses that do not have a pleasant appearance.

On the other hand, properties that are in pristine condition tend to receive more attention from buyers. This means that your home has to create a favorable first impression with potential buyers to boost your chances of success in the market. Is there a way to improve your chances of making a sale?

If you want to make your home marketable, it is important to find ways to enhance its appearance. Using online platforms such as Greatidea Hub will give you all the information you need to spruce up both the interior and exterior of your home. In the meantime, here are 5 tips to get you started:

1. Start Outside

The first thing someone sees when they step up to your house is the curb, garden, and exterior condition. Buyers base their first impression on these factors. Depending on how your exterior looks, it may throw off a potential buyer even before they reach the front door.

Make a conscious effort to improve the landscaping. You should also take time to clean your curb, gutters or anything on the outside of the house. Ensure that any defects such as broken windows or a leaking roof are repaired. Once all of this is done, you can then finish it off with a fresh coat of paint. This will improve the general appearance of your home, helping you to appeal to more buyers.

2. Let Your Front Door Do the Talking

Receive your buyers pleasantly using a well-placed welcome mat outside your front door. Be sure to replace any worn out house numbers, so that they will be visible from a distance. Your focus should now shift to the door. You could go with the trend and paint it with a color that contrasts with the rest of the house. This will make your front door will stand out more.

3. Clean Up on the Inside

Although it might be tempting to slap some dark colors on your walls, neutral hues help to open up the space. This means that using whites and tans, in conjunction with natural light, will make the room feel bigger.

It is also important to keep the interior décor simple. This allows potential buyers to visualize your space with their things in it. This also goes together with removing any clutter and junk. Having too much junk lying around will steal the attention of your buyer. It also gives the illusion that your home lacks adequate storage space.

4. Revamp Highlight Rooms

Highlight rooms include the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Making small but deliberate changes to these areas will transform your entire home. Think of replacing worn hinges, faucets, and fixtures. It makes the space look newer and gives the impression of consistent maintenance work.

It is also advisable to stage your rooms in such a way that each one has a different purpose. This shows potential buyers how to use every room.

5. Clean Everything!

Pay attention to every small detail in your home, and ensure it is clean. This does not mean only what can be seen! You should also tackle any persistent odors. Start off by deodorizing your carpets. You should also ensure that all surfaces are wiped down, including the baseboards, counters, floors, sinks, and tubs.

Tips and Tricks For Using Mousse

Not Your Momma’s Hair Mousse
20-Year Stylist and Natural Curl Guru with Tips on Mastering Mousse

Styling mousse first came on the scene back in the 80’s when big hair was the thing. Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston were the ladies who set the hair trends back then. I’m sure if you see pictures of your mom from the 80’s, you will see the waterfall bangs and curls that were teased, fried and crunchy. It was a cool look then. It’s not cool now. Hair styles and the products we use have changed over the decades.

Maya Smith, International Master of Natural Curls and founder of The Doux®, a haircare line she created specifically for naturally curly hair, has seen the evolution of mousse from the very beginning to now. We caught up with Maya and scored some amazing tips and insights to help you know which ingredients to look for and how to best use mousse to maximize your modern style.

Q: First to get things clear, what is the purpose of mousse? How has it changed from when you first saw it back in the day? What is the main difference from the mousse we see today and those from the 80’s and 90’s? Were they intended for different kinds of styles, textures?

A: When I started in the industry, the 90’s hair was in full effect. Naturally curly girls used mousse to create the Hillary Banks (Fresh Prince of Bel Air) “wet” look. For volume a diffuser was used to get hair to stand up at the roots. The visual results were awesome, but if you tried to re-style your hair once it dried, you were in big trouble! While it was used on curly weaves, extensions, and wigs, mousse wasn’t even an option for girls with super-tight curls or kinky textures. These days, mousse is still used to achieve great definition and shine, but less emphasis is placed on how high your hair stands up, or how stiff the overall look is. It’s much more about softness and movement.

Q: What are some ingredients to look for? What’s good and what should be avoided?

A: Always be sure to look at the ingredients when shopping for products because this can make a big difference. Ingredients such as sodium laurel sulfate (SLS), Isopropyl, and Prolyene have been found to cause breakage and dry out your hair. The best way to achieve healthy hair is to have that balance between protein and moisture.

Q: What causes that crunch and what were some of the problems with the mousse options available that inspired you to create your own? Can mousse be combined with other products? What are the benefits of combining products and steps?

A: It’s common for mousse to be combined with gel or cream because most mousses on the market contain alcohol to make the hair dry faster. They are also polymer rich, which creates a sticky coating on the hair, much like a hairspray. This can leave hair feeling dry and stiff. We formulated our Mousse Def as an all-in-one solution for this problem. It creates the shine and definition of a mousse, yet leaves hair soft and touchable with no flaking.

Q: How does mousse compare to gels and balms? Are gels a thing of the past? Can a balm be used in place of a mousse?

A: Mousse and gels are water-based products that contain polymers and holding agents that “stiffen” on the hair shaft in order to hold the hair in place. On the other hand, balms, pomades, and control pastes are what we call emulsions, are a mix of oils and water. The Doux’s Bonita Afro Balm is an emulsion developed for moisture and softness that also contains a small amount of polymer for a softer, more flexible hold.

Q: Finally, are Salon or Professional brands worth the money? Do they contain better ingredients?

A: Yes. Products that were formulated for salon use typically contain a higher quality of ingredients. They also contain less water and fillers, so you’re getting a more concentrated product with longer-standing results.

Q: What other advice can you offer to girls with natural curls who want to mix up their hair styles?

A: Try something new. Gone are the days when heavy pomades and gels were your only styling options. Girls who have natural curls deserve to enjoy lighter products that are easy to apply, and create bounce and movement. Maximizing your natural God given hair is what’s popular now.
