One of our absolute favourite things to do as a family is head to the beach — and lucky for us, we live in one of the most beautiful places in the world: the Okanagan! From lazy afternoons soaking up the sun to spontaneous swims and sandy toes, nothing beats beach life with the kids. 💦
We’re counting down the days until we can hit the lake again this year, unwind, and soak in all the beauty this region has to offer. Whether we’re paddleboarding, picnicking, or just watching the sun set over the water, there’s no better place to be. We hope to explore some amazing new spots this year and enjoy our amazing local community. I will be using this amazing summer bucket list created by Okanagan Family Fun to generate new ideas and explore sites and scenery that is all new even for us locals. I highly recommend you do the same if you want to make the most of your summer this year. Try to cross them all off!
🌊 Best Beaches in the Okanagan:
🏝️ Gyro Beach (Kelowna) – Family-friendly, playground, and warm shallow waters

⛱️ Hot Sands Beach (Kelowna) – Located in City Park, perfect for walking and downtown vibes
🌞 Kal Beach (Coldstream/Vernon) – Known for its vibrant blue-green water
💦 Kaloya Regional Park is a gorgeous beach as well. This one is on the opposite side of Coldstream.
🛶 Pritchard Beach (West Kelowna) – A bit more tucked away, ideal for a quieter visit
🏄♀️ Penticton’s Okanagan Beach – Popular for families, ice cream shops and a lakeside promenade
