When To Call A Professional Appliance Repair Company

We have all been there, you go to warm something up in the microwave and it doesn’t seem to be getting hot at all. Or we go to use the washing machine and all you hear is a buzzing and whining with a nasty smell filling the air. This is our appliance calling out for help and requesting a visit from the appliance repair people.

There are a number of ways to tell when you need professional help with your appliances and these are the easiest to recognize:

Strange smell. If your fridge, freezer, microwave or washer is making an unusual smell it may be time to make a call. It may be something simple like something stuck in a wheel or filter so take a look around and see what you see.

Funny sounds. If you happen to hear some strange sounds coming from your appliances this is a sign there could be something wrong. Always give it a general inspection but if you are really worried call a repair person.

Not working right. If your appliance isn’t working the way it used to or only doing a partially finished job it may need some repairs or replacement parts. Sometimes it is too far gone and just needs replacement but a simple phone call will let you know.

Flickering lights. If you notice the lights or dials flickering and flashing it could be a sign something is not right. You may need to change power sources if not it could be an internal issue requiring repairs.

If you find your appliance is having some issues it may be time to call the professionals. If it costs more to fix it then to buy a new one you clearly have your decision made for you. Many small appliances can be easily repaired though saving you a small fortune throughout the years.

I love love love her idea on how to make indoor snowballs with egg cartons. I am definitely going to have to try that with my kiddos since my smallest one has decided that it has to snow for Christmas. Poor baby doesn't know snow is hard to come by in Alabama :( For my guest post I wanted to share a little DIY with you guys that involves duct tape! A few months ago my daughter's little chair that goes with her table she sits at every day tore and she made it worse by pulling all of the stuffing out of the seat! What started out as a quick fix turned into a great idea. She loved her seat so much that she has now decided that her table has look cool too so being the smarty pants that she is, she tore her table!
