St. Patrick’s Day Crafts & Activities For Toddlers

St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow and I’m sure you are all looking for some great crafts and activities to fill the day! Here at Little Duck Family Child Care we are always making new and creative crafts and activities to fill our days and increase our artistic engagement, colour recognition and hand eye coordination!

Try this super easy rainbow sun catcher craft with your little ones everything needed can be found at Dollar Tree:

You will need:
  • Clear contact paper
  • Construction paper
  • Tissue paper
  • Scissors

Begin prep by cutting out pots of gold and coins with construction paper. I just cut mine freehand but if you like you can download a template and get the perfect shape.

Slice up your tissue paper into small squares, rectangles, or circles and organize them by colour of the rainbow!

Cut contact paper into manageable rectangles and fold the edges down to stick to the child’s work surface so the contact paper doesn’t slide around while they are working.

Help them to get started by showing them where to place the pot of gold, coins, and colours of the rainbow! Let them build the rainbow and guide them through the rest of the steps.

Stick the finished rainbow to the window and admire the beauty of the rainbow!
