How To Save Money When Looking For Repair Services

Appliances are a basic part of our everyday life. We use them to store our food, cook our food, heat our water, and cool our houses. Eventually appliance lives come to an end or require basic repair. There are hundreds of different brands available all looking for you to buy brand new appliances, but for the most part you should be able to get them repaired or used for a lot cheaper than buying them brand new.

So how can you save money on appliances if looking for repairs or replacements?

1. Always call around for quotes. Phone around if you require fridge repair or other appliance repair services as different companies charge different rates and if they know you are looking around for services they may offer you a higher discount.

2. Try to buy second hand rather than brand new. There are always people looking to sell their older models when they renovate their homes or update their appliances. These used units have many years left in them but cost hundreds of dollars less. If you require a whole new dishwasher rather than dishwasher repair it makes sense to buy used and save a bundle than buy brand new and go into debt.

3. Consider trading services with friends in the trade. If you know someone who works for a repair company see if they are willing to help you out with your repairs in exchange for a dinner invitation, babysitting services, or yard work. Bartering services is a great way to save money and help out a friend or even make new friends.

Using these amazing tips you can save a fortune on all kinds of services in your home. Don’t just use these tips to save money on appliance repairs open your mind to a whole new way of life and enjoy the frugality that comes from bartering, buying secondhand and looking for a better deal.

I love love love her idea on how to make indoor snowballs with egg cartons. I am definitely going to have to try that with my kiddos since my smallest one has decided that it has to snow for Christmas. Poor baby doesn't know snow is hard to come by in Alabama :( For my guest post I wanted to share a little DIY with you guys that involves duct tape! A few months ago my daughter's little chair that goes with her table she sits at every day tore and she made it worse by pulling all of the stuffing out of the seat! What started out as a quick fix turned into a great idea. She loved her seat so much that she has now decided that her table has look cool too so being the smarty pants that she is, she tore her table!
