5 Reasons We Prioritize Vacation As A Couple

My husband and I are very happily married. We have been together for over 20 years and our relationship gets stronger the more we work on it. We have been together since I was only 13 years old, we have been through every situation, every disagreement, plenty of hardships, and don’t always see eye to eye, but we fix our problems and manage our lives together.

We are working hard at saving money for a new home but we have to prioritize a vacation otherwise we would lose our minds. Our vacation is the biggest self-care project for us and it always makes it into the budget no matter what! And, it doesn't have to be costly or extravagant every time either. We typically search for Package Holidays from Southampton or other locations online a few months in advance. By exploring all the cheap flight options and budget-friendly accommodations, and booking early, we make sure we don’t end up paying more than necessary. And, this way, we enjoy a well-deserved break without breaking the bank.

This is why we prioritize getting away from everyone and everything including our children!

We reconnect!
Being out in the woods together is such a great way to look into each others souls and remember why we chose each other! We take the time to stare at each other and appreciate everything we have grown to love. Reconnecting can help keep you from getting relationship boredom!

We enjoy each others company!
It’s so nice to be able to spend time with the one you love. These days we are so busy working and taking care of our families that we don’t make enough time for each other. Enjoying each others bodies, minds and souls is one of the main reasons we chose each other so being together in each of these ways makes for such a strong relationship.

We appreciate one another more!
Being together everyday for only a few hours after work isn’t enough to get a true appreciation for your spouse. Being alone together away from technology, work, kids, and stress is such a great way to give your full attention to the other person and enjoy their company.

We can talk freely about anything!
Being around kids 24/7 can be mentally draining and emotionally charging. Having a safe space to get away together and discuss everything you avoid talking about at home is a great way to release mental blocks and relive some stress.

We get to recharge our batteries!
Relaxing and having a few drinks while being together is such a great way to recharge and start fresh. We get to chill out and not worry about life, sleep in and not wake up in a rush to get to work. Recharging is a must as a couple or as an individual to maintain a healthy mental state and physical well being.
