When it comes to the best activity for a family excursion, nothing surpasses seeing a spectacular airshow. It is simple to fall prey to accidents and other unanticipated calamities when everyone's attention is directed toward having a good time and interacting with the other participants, especially during the air show in California. If you participate in an airshow, the following are some tactics that will make your experience safer.
Wear Sunscreen
Protecting your skin should be your top priority while attending an air show. An air show is a fantastic outdoor activity to participate in when the weather is clear and bright. However, we hope that the airplane, and not the sunstroke, will be the thing that you remember most about today.
Because you will be staring upward for a significant amount of time, your skin must be protected. Make sure everyone in the family wears good sunscreen, and don't forget to reapply it several times during the day.
Keep Yourself Hydrated
Because our air show program is so jam-packed, you won't want to miss any of the action. To protect yourself against the potentially harmful consequences of prolonged exposure to the summer heat, you must drink enough water throughout the day. Having a headache while gazing upward is not enjoyable in the least.
At the air shows, we strongly urge you to bring your beverages with you, as long as they do not include alcohol. You may even want to bring a cooler with you. That way, you won't need to get up from your seat at any point throughout the show, so you can watch the whole event.
Bring Your Earplugs
There are some noisy aircraft in our fleet... When we say "loud," we mean in an absurdly loud manner.
This is an excellent piece of advice for those who will be going with children in their younger years. It is quite likely that aircraft such as the MiG-17 will be the noisiest thing that they have ever encountered. It's incredible, but you should probably keep little children's ears covered.
No Smoking
You won't believe how close you can go to the jets till you see it for yourself. You will get the chance to see the majority of our artists both before and after they present their acts. These are actual airplanes that are capable of flying.
Certain aspects of life just do not go together at all.
Fuel for aircraft and cigarettes are two examples of such items. You'll have a front-row seat to all the action as the aircraft take off and land. Because we want to make sure that everyone who attends an air show is safe, we do not recommend smoking or the use of electronic cigarettes at any air shows.
Put on Reasonable Socks and Shoes
Because there is so much to see, you could end up doing a good deal of walking throughout your trip. It is in your best interest to put on reasonable footwear.
The parking space for the aircraft is considered to be part of the "working" portion of the airport. As a direct consequence of this, there may, on occasion, be stray nails or bits of metal lying about on the ground. Always make sure that your feet are well protected.
Leave Pets at Home
There is an exclusion, even though we strongly recommend that you bring all of the members of your family with you.
Our air displays are known for being high-octane, exhilarating, and noisy. Even pyrotechnics are used by us. While both adults and children of all ages will find enjoyment in our exhibits, the event may be stressful for animals because of its overwhelming nature. Because of this, we prefer that you leave any animals, especially those used for emotional support, at home so that we can assure the safety of everyone attending the air show.
If you have a physical disability, you are allowed to bring your licensed and trained service dog with you.
Bring Along Your Camera
Observing historic airplanes in action provides a significant portion of the day's entertainment. The other half consists of communicating what you've learned to others. Even though we can promise you that the day will leave you with some wonderful memories, you should still bring a camera with you so that you can capture some pictures to show off to your friends.
Some of the aircraft are among the very few in the world that are still in active service. You will very literally be photographingan important historical artifact.
Bring a Chair or a Blanket
At the air shows, there will be plenty of room for you to spread out, so be sure to get there early to get a fantastic location on the flight line.

Bring along a comfortable chair! It's going to be a long day of standing on your feet, and the last thing we want is for you to get dizzy and lose your balance as our planes swirl and spin over you. If you are sitting, you may relax and put your head back as you take it all in.
If bringing a chair seems like too much work, you could always bring a picnic blanket instead. From a seated posture, you will have an unobstructed view of everything that is occurring above your head.
